100 Pct CC Bake Sale Nets Record Profits

The 100 Precinct Community Council’s Youth Committee Bake Sale was a success. This year’s Bake Sale was the best ever. The Youth Committee raised $1,090. This will be shared equally between the Youth Committee for their activities with Rockaway children and Tribute Park. The Youth Committee members and volunteers made the day possible.

The Youth Committee presented a check for $545 to Bernie Warnock, president of Tribute Park, to assist with the park’s maintenance. This was half of the proceeds from the Bake Sale.

Sunset in the Park

Sunset In The Park Lives Up To Its Name

Draws Several Hundred To Tribute Park

The annual Tribute Park fundraiser, “Sunset In The Park” lived up to its name last Saturday night, one day after its postponement due to heavy thunderstorms. Several hundred showed up to drink some wine, eat some good food, listen to some good music and see the most fantastic sunset in the nation. Add to the beautiful night a large fireboat spraying water high into the air just as the falling sun hit the horizon, and those who attended had a pretty perfect evening.
