Sunset In The Park To Be Held At Tribute Park

July 25, 2008
Friends of Tribute Park is once again hosting "Sunset in the Park," the annual fundraising event for Tribute Park, which is dedicated to the 70 Rockaway residents who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. The event will be held on Thursday, July 31, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rain date for Friday, August 1.
Two musical groups will be performing
to enhance the event: Aerial acoustics, a guitar duo of original music; and Indaculture, a homegrown Rockaway band that will entertain from the "Dragon Boat" in Jamaica Bay.
Wine will be provided courtesy of On the Rocks Liquor Store and hors d'oeuvres are being catered by Ludwig's Catering.
All proceeds will go toward paying off the remaining debt of $30,000 from the original park construction and ensure that there is funding for ongoing maintenance.
